Role of the thematic group
The role of this group was to identify technologies and processes that reduce the environmental impact in healthcare and are an enabler for enhancing healthcare delivery.
Outcomes
The important subject of Waste Minimization was explored by consortium partner HCHW Europe (Health Care Without Harm), which prepared a case-based policy paper on ‘Food Waste’ using evidence from its wider activities and the EcoQUIP procurement project on people-centred, low carbon catering solution at Rotherham (UK).
A summary of the outcomes of the thematic group was presented at the final EcoQUIP meeting in Bologna, October 2016.
