At the heart of the EcoQUIP + project are the six leader-led innovation procurement projects, each of which address a particular healthcare challenge. During 2020 hospital and support partners have engaged stakeholders across their organisations, reached out to peers and explored the state of the art in each of these challenge areas. The aim was to understand the current situation, what was working and what was not working, and where there was scope for improvement and innovation. The outcome of this work? The identification of the unmet need and the accurate definition of the new requirement.
We are now reaching out an important milestone. Over the next eight weeks we will publish six Statements of Demand and reach out across our peer networks to find other healthcare organisations, practitioners and hospitals with the same, or similar, need and invite them into a period of collaboration to refine the statement of demand in advance of consultation with the supply-chain.
"Across Europe, practitioners and hospitals are facing similar challenges. By working together, we can encourage and enable innovation in the supply-chain to bring forward cost-effective solutions" Gaynor Whyles, JERA Consulting.

In order to bring together practitioners, healthcare managers, procurement specialists and others with an interest in innovation procurement, we have created a forum on LinkedIn called the EcoQUIP+ Collaborative Buyers Forum.
This is a group where we would encourage and support users to network, exchange information and expertise, ask questions and discuss their experiences, issues and challenges related to innovation procurement. You will have the opportunity to connect with other expert members that are already part of the community.
