Innovative Renovation of Hospital Wards

In common with many countries across Europe, hospitals in Poland are in need of renovation to improve the patient environment and outcomes, improve the overall energy efficiency, enable services to adapt to new challenges and changes in healthcare provision and make the most of new technologies. At the same time hospital renovations need to be undertaken in a way that minimises disruption of services and care, and enable the hospital to function effectively. The hospital is therefore seeking an innovative refurbishment solution, or combination of solutions, that can deliver these outcomes in a cost effective way.

• Baseline scenario: Existing construction models result in higher costs, failures to optimise the use of new technology, and significant barriers to introducing improvements in environment, energy and clinical outcomes.
